Acupuncture

Acupuncture, one of the treatment modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is preformed by using fine needles that are inserted into the skin at specific points on the body to relieve pain and treat disease.  Acupuncture essentially coaxes the body into healing itself by adjusting the flow of energy, increasing blood flow, and affecting the nervous system. When appropriate other modalities such as cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, nutrition, and herbal formulas are used to assist in healing.

Return visits are typically one hour and include a brief update on progress, acupuncture treatment, and other modalities as appropriate for condition.
