Acupuncture
Acupuncture, one of the treatment modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is preformed by using fine needles that are inserted into the skin at specific points on the body to relieve pain and treat disease. Acupuncture essentially coaxes the body into healing itself by adjusting the flow of energy, increasing blood flow, and affecting the nervous system. When appropriate other modalities such as cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, Celluma red light therapy, nutrition, herbal formulas and functional medicine lab testing are used to assist in healing.
